He is GORGEOUS!! And to have a boy that's not special needs is an awesome thing..although I can't imagine waiting over three years for girl and getting a boy! It happens and my view is God knows best! Just have to go back again (and believe me...we adopted a little girl from China in 07 and we want to go back REALLY BAD..and she's our 4th child!!! ) He's gonna be amazing! And ohhh so gorgeous!! As for your new name??? Maybe Mommy, daddy and boys x 2! Mommy and her three men??? Lovin my boys?? I know you were surprised..I would've been! It's a rare thing, so think of yourself as special!! I will follow your blog..very interested in your family! :) You can see ours at www.langley6.blogspot.com get ready..you're going to CHINA!!! :) Congrats!!!
What a gorgeous baby!!! I bet it was quite a surprise when you learned! While we were waiting, back in 2006, we went to a presentation from our agency and they mentionned that there was a tiny but real chance someone could be referred a boy. My husband bent over and whispered "what would we do?" to me, thinking about all the dresses and the pink clothes we had. I whispered back that a few years of therapy would erase his memory of having worn girl's clothes for a year... The presenter never understood while we laughed so much. Now, you get the last laugh! Congratulations, you now have 2 completely adorable sons!
What sweet comments from everyone. I am touched by the responses. Thank you to all who are posting their congratulations and their stories. Such a wonderful community of fellow parents (or soon-to-be parents) and friends of China. Many blessings to you.
Hi, I am LID 3/28/06 coming up. Did you ask specifically for a girl? Just wondering, I have a girl roon and many, many clothes. Your little man is adorable. I have a 5 yr. old SN domestic adopted son, he was 6 days old when we had him placed in our arms. spstelling@comcast.net, I know you are busy so if you don't get around to emailing me back it is ok, I just am so curious if you asked for either gender. God Bless your family.
Congratulations from a mom who adopted a little boy from China 2 years ago!! Your son, actually both your sons are adorable. Just so you know you will be very popular when going to any Chinese events with a little boy. I think when Mattie is old enough I will just buy him a tux because he already has soo many girl friends and he is not 4 yet. Fingers crossed for a quick TA.
Congratulations! What an amazing blessing. I have 2 bio sons 2 years apart and they are the best of friends. When we received our referral for our daughter we travled with 2 families who received boys and they were just adorable. China must see your family as very special to refer one of their sons to you. We were told by our agency that is is an honor to receive a referral for a son. Enjoy this crazy hectic time..this part really does go by fast!
So cute....what a wonderful surprise!
