Flu setback

So the whole flu thing has brought referrals to a halt, at least for now. Nothing new this week. Our agency is reporting that the "CCAA has not completed the match process at this time," which normally happens around the first of the month. Sounds like at least one province in China has stopped making appointments for families to adopt. These appointments make the adoption "official" in China, so without them, there is no adoption. Other provinces haven't changed anything yet.

Here's what I'm hoping - hopefully matching is still going on in China, even though they aren't sending any of the referrals on. So when they decide it's OK to do so, perhaps we will be included. Hard to believe we are only SEVEN days away, and now this as a setback. Sigh...

On a happier note, we are having a blast with Jack. He is quite the little guy, although being rather shy around new people these days. He walks and hides directly behind my legs sometimes, which makes me laugh. We walked at the park today. He pulled his wagon with fishy, "lammie," a little gnome, and his sippy cup over halfway around the lake. He made lots of new friends, and really wasn't shy at all in this setting. When I asked him what he saw at the park, he said, "man." I guess we did see a lot of men.

We've been going to "class" at the Waldorf preschool once a week. It's probably a better outlet for me than him right now, but he seems to enjoy it too. There are other little kids for him to see (all girls) and even though he doesn't play with them yet, he does get to play along side of them.
